A nutritional consultation has a number of benefits no matter what your health goals are. Sometimes we think we’re eating the correct foods and taking the correct supplements to reach our goals, but we’re somehow missing the mark. A nutritional consultation on its own or in conjunction with treatment can help patients quickly see the results they want.
At our office, a nutritional consultation starts with filling out a symptom survey, where we can discuss your goals and assess how best to get you there. One of the most important aspects of this consultation is the discussion about what you like to eat. We want to set you up for success, so restricting you to a list of foods you hate is the last thing we want to do. We will then create a 7 day “diet” with recommendations, and discuss helpful supplements to support your health and nutrition goals. We typically recommend a follow-up visit about a month later. Leading up to your consultation, it can be helpful to keep a food journal. While this step isn’t necessary, it can give us a bigger picture of what your daily diet looks like. We want you to ask as many questions as you may have about your nutrition and your health during your nutritional consultation.
